Sofia Ploner
President
My primary goal as chair of AMSA this year is to lead our association into an exciting new era. I joined ASMA with the aim of enhancing my leadership abilities and expanding my professional network. I'm passionate about broadening our horizons and focus on dynamic collaborations with finance companies, conducting innovative research, and (co-)hosting enriching events. I'm determined to connect our members with professionals, fostering career growth. Together with the board, I strive toward creating a unified and thriving community within our association.
Anastasia Chatzina
Vice-president
As part of AMSA for the past three years, I was always eager to explore the financial world in the context of real-life experience while collaborating with companies. As Vice Chair of AMSA for this academic year, I will assist in our goal to embrace and foster a culture of collaboration that paves the way for limitless opportunities. Together with the board, we will cultivate professional excellence and help unlock the doors to a brighter financial future for our members.
Tommaso Borghesi
Treasurer
I am a Finance & Investments master's student at RSM. I joined AMSA as an active member of the Asset Management team in 2021 to dive into the world of finance and work with talented and motivated students who all share similar interests. In my new role, overseeing AMSA's treasury activities represents a further responsibility and motivation to support the association from a financial stance, as well as helping the board with non-financial weekly activities to ensure successful performance.
Yuri Al Sawair
External Relations
I want to promote AMSA as an institution that bridges the gap between financial firms and students, creating value for both. This year I would like to achieve at least 10 new collaborations with companies from the Finance Industry. I joined AMSA to improve my sales skills, learn how to operate in a team, and be part of a family.
Gil Feiereisen
Head of Education
During my previous year with AMSA, I had the opportunity to collaborate with one of the largest insurance companies in the Netherlands on their journey towards achieving net-zero emissions. This hands-on experience was incredibly enlightening, and when the opportunity arose to join the AMSA as a board member, I was eager to accept. My goal is to facilitate similar learning experiences for our members this year.
As the Head of Education, my primary objective is to guide our seven industry teams and their leaders in gaining practical experience through prioritizing engagement and research projects with firms in their respective industries.
Calvin Barlow
Head of Assets
I joined AMSA to be surrounded by other ambitious like-minded individuals who are passionate about finance. Leading the assets team offers me the chance to work with people already skilled in finance and together I am sure we will learn a lot, have a great time, and drink a few beers!
Stanisław Kubik
Head of Global Markets
When I joined AMSA as a first-year student, it wasn’t yet clear to me what this relationship would bring me. Very quickly, I recognized the broad opportunities that the association may create with the input of its motivated members.
As a Head of the Global Markets team, I want to create opportunities for students to explore the topics that interest them in the context of financial markets, gaining experience and developing the foundations for their future professional network. Simultaneously, I want to make AMSA a platform that will enable students to headstart their professional careers by providing guidance and education on both theoretical and practical aspects of the financial industry.
Filip Borzęcki
Head of Quantitative Finance
I joined AMSA with a clear goal in mind. I wanted to create a platform for like-minded, data and finance enthusiasts that would allow others and myself to develop together in those disciplines.
As Head of the Quantitative Finance team, I want to create a platform for those interested in creating data-driven solutions for finance-related problems and allow the members to develop their skills by sharing knowledge and experiences, and, most importantly, by collaborating.
Thais Gonzales Dourojeanni
Head of Private Equity
Leading the Private Equity Committee within AMSA is a commitment rooted in a passion for finance and a desire to empower fellow students. It's about fostering a deeper understanding of private equity and creating real-world opportunities.
This year's objectives are to collaborate with private equity firms on research projects resulting in valuable reports, facilitate networking opportunities with industry professionals, and promote a spirit of teamwork among our members. Through these initiatives, we aim to equip the students with practical and soft skills, industry insights, and valuable connections that will propel them toward successful careers in private equity."
Andre Fuchs
Head of Investment Banking
Leading the investment banking team, I'm committed to cultivating a community where students passionate about the industry can collaborate, share insights, and learn from one another's experiences. By engaging in real-life investment banking projects with diverse businesses, we not only bridge the gap between academia and professional practice but also provide our members with invaluable, hands-on experience. My mission is to offer a platform that equips our ambitious students with a strong foundation, enabling them to launch their careers with confidence and a competitive edge.
Oscar Allen
Head of Sustainable Finance
I am currently completing my Master's in Finance & Investments at RSM and will be the Head of Sustainable Finance this year. I joined AMSA 2 years ago to learn more about the investment management field, an area of finance that I want to work in. Through my previous experiences, I also became interested in how sustainability fits into the industry. I thoroughly enjoyed writing research reports, enhancing my analytical and research skills, and making me become an expert in certain topics in sustainable finance. This year I hope to pass this on to the new members of the Sustainable Finance Team.
Friso van de Stadt
Head of Venture Capital
My passion for venture capital led me to join AMSA and share my expertise with driven and smart students. Our goal is to make a lasting impact on the future of the venture capital industry through our collaborations. I am pursuing a Master's in Strategic Entrepreneurship, building upon my Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Law. As a team, we are determined to extend last year's track record through even more collaborations and sharing the insights in our podcast. Stay tuned for exciting projects and opportunities!
Sophie Marie Lindemann
Head of Events
I am delighted to lead the Events Team, a role I pursued to apply and improve my organizational skills while exploring the financial world. My team is dedicated to create a collaborative network of like-minded students, alumni, and professionals by hosting frequent educational and networking events for our members. In my free time, you’ll find me in parks with friends, the gym, or listening to music.
Rania El Khayari
Head of Marketing
Joining AMSA was a first step for me to discover the financial domain, and what it holds, and to meet students who are also passionate about finance; all whilst utilizing my creativity and communication skills through the promotional material needed to keep the association fresh in your minds. Marketing plays a core role, as it promotes the association’s milestones and events, gathering for it a pool of ambitious students who seek to contribute to AMSA’s mission for financial education. My objective this year is to further AMSA’s recognition amongst students and financial companies, and further in its mission to create a rich financial education network with the more partners and students we attract. We match students looking for financial professional opportunities, with companies seeking to collaborate with the promising minds of our community!
